Bar-Restaurant ENVERO
Why ENVERO? Because we are EN VERANO (in summer), and in Valonga, we are in full ENVERO (the onset of ripening)
ENVERO is the moment at which the bunches of grapes change colour, the red varieties pass slowly from a bright green colour to a pale red which will later get darker, and the white grapes adopt a light yellow hue
ENVERO is also the name of the Valonga Bar Restaurant
In Valonga there has been for many years an inn, which has always been open to the public since 1950.
Initially it had rooms available so travellers could spend the night and, apart from eating, drinking, and playing guiñote and remigio, so many games and hours and what memories they bring!, you could also buy vegetables in bulk, along with conserves, and other basic foods, but always under the control of, first Mercedes Turmo and then Pili Contín, who both managed the needs of this marvellous inn with efficiency and knowhow up until the late 90s.
A big kiss to both from here!
With time its needs changed and also some of its functions. It no longer supplied staple foods, the romos stopped being used, and the functions of the establishment focused on being a bar and place to eat. From this time we keep very fond memories of Nati Godia.
Today, we have refurbished the former inn, increasing the interior space and completely renovating the kitchen, the bar and the terrace, while prioritising the spirit of service and meeting place for families and customers in general.
